# WhaleRadar

> WhaleRadar shows where the largest wallets on Hyperliquid are positioned in each perpetual market: which side they are on, how much, and at what price they would be liquidated. Every market page has a short plain-language summary ("The Read") in English and Chinese, refreshed every few minutes from the Hyperliquid blockchain. Data is for information only, not financial advice.

Pages not yet translated show English there and are not indexed. Feeds, images, the JSON and this file have one address each, without a prefix.

- Whale pages (https://whaleradar.com/whale/<whale-slug>, a name and the address tail like silent-leviathan-a7ce): one wallet's open positions, account, and its log: closed positions with realised PnL, liquidations, a timeline and the pod it belongs to. Whale names are given by WhaleRadar and never name a person. A name belongs to one wallet for at least a year, and an earlier holder is shown with its year, as in “Clear Gale ’26”, while its link keeps the plain name. A full wallet address works too (https://whaleradar.com/whale/0x<40 hex>) and redirects to the whale's page, so do older names of the same wallet
- Pods (https://whaleradar.com/pod/<id>, the first 8 hex of the pod's lowest wallet address): wallets that likely share one owner, linked by their public transfers, with combined positions and moves. An older pod id redirects to the pod its wallet is in now
- [Near liquidation](https://whaleradar.com/near-liquidation): every whale position within 20% of its liquidation price, closest first, with the distance at the live price, the money within 1%, 2% and 5%, and the liquidations of the last 24 hours

Every market follows the exchange where its underlying is listed: US stocks and indices after the US close (from the 16:00 close to the 09:30 open, New York time, with the NYSE's holidays and early closes), Korean, Japanese, Hong Kong and Chinese stocks after the Asian close (each from its own exchange's close to its next open, with each exchange's holidays and lunch breaks), and every market, commodities and FX included, over the weekend. Snapshot fields: price, change24h, positions[] (side L/S, notional USD, lev, margin, entry, liq, upnl, ageH, score 0–100, label, wallet: equity, pnl30d, roi30d, pnlAll), read.en / read.zh, updatedAt (ISO, UTC), sample (true while the site runs on sample data).
Stability: these /api/*.json paths are v1 for good. Changes are additive only, a breaking change gets a new path under /api/v2/. The market key is the id in every body (market or key: BTC, XYZ:SKHX) with its slug beside it. Query names: market=<slug>, side=long|short. Errors are { "error": "<snake_code>", "message": "<sentence>" }. change24h is a percent, every other ratio a fraction from 0 to 1. Other /api paths are internal.

## How to cite
One format for every figure: the statement, the date, the time in UTC, then the source with the page's short link. Positions change within minutes, so the time matters.
