How to read this
Shows: the long share of directional whale money at each daily close, beside the crowd where it is known, and the ASTER price under it at the same closes.
Read it: The further the line sits from 50, the more one-sided the whale money. A gap to the crowd means whales and retail lean differently.
Won’t show: what happened between two closes, or where the price goes next.

How the Tide is made.
Not a mood index. The Tide counts where whale money sits, position by position.
- Whale positions.
Every open position of $1M or more held by the tracked wallets on Hyperliquid (the largest accounts and the most active smaller ones), in every tracked market.
- Directional whales with a record.
Market makers, hedgers and wallets without a track record do not count. At least three whales, or a scope has no Tide.
- Weighted by record.
Each position counts with its size times the wallet's track-record score. One wallet counts with at most 10% of a scope's money.
- The long share, 0 to 100.
50 is even. The crowd uses the same scale: the long share of retail accounts, from a public long/short account ratio, for crypto only.
- A daily close.
The value at 00:00 UTC goes into the history. Today's value updates every few minutes.
- How often it was right.
Over the last 30 closes, each lean judged at the next close: 5 right, 6 wrong, 1 flat. Every market and month on the scorecard
- The money flow.
What directional whales opened and closed in positions of $1M or more over 7 days, net toward long, against their usual week over the last 30 days. More toward long than usual: the tide is coming in. Less: it is going out.
