The track-record score

How WhaleRadar ranks whales by consistency rather than size, on a scale from 0 to 100.

Good for: telling a steady whale from a lucky one before you quote it.

Say two whales open BTC shorts of the same size. One has traded steadily for months, the other got lucky once. The track-record score tells them apart: 0 to 100 for how consistently a wallet has traded, not how big it is.

A score of 92. The whales page groups records under 50, from 50 to 79 and from 80 up.

What goes into it

  • Return on account over all time, the last month and the last week.
  • Whether the three agree: a wallet up in every window scores higher than one carried by a single lucky stretch.
  • Account size: small accounts with outsized returns are damped, because one lucky bet on a small book is mostly noise.

What it won’t say

The score is a record of past consistency, not a measure of skill. It won’t predict the next trade, and a large wallet can sit through drawdowns that would wipe out a smaller one. It says whose positions have a history worth reading, not whom to copy.
